Safe Environment

But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God.  (Luke 18:16)

The Catholic Church of Blessed John Henry Newman (BJNH) and the entire Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter is committed to providing a safe environment for all our parishioners – from the youngest to the oldest.

As a part of that effort, the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter has instituted a robust Safe Environment programme.  The parish of Blessed John Henry Newman participates fully in that programme. We provide mandatory training (including detailed background checks) for all volunteers who work with children. We also provide parents with materials to use in discussing safe environment issues with their own children.

If you would like to read about the Ordinariate’s Safe Environment Policy in detail, please go HERE.

If you have any questions about the safe environment program and its implementation at BJHN, or if you would like to begin the safe environment process, please contact the Parish Priest.
